3D model of a capital from the Corinthian order, referenced from remains and reconstructions at Trimontium - Roman-era Plovdiv.
The model was created through a complete workflow - gathering photographic references, reconstructing via concept in Photoshop, blockout in Blender, high-poly sculpt in ZBrush, retopology in Blender, high-poly baking and texturing in Substance 3D Painter, additional surfaces from Quixel Bridge.
It was a great challenge balancing between an optimized topology and high detail, as well as finding a fitting work process for the making of the fine details of a Corinthian capital. As well as that - creating a fine model and at the same time following the original material.
